Cuddly Canines Who Need
Homes!
Listed below are the dogs we
currently have available for adoption. All of the animals available through CCHS's
Adopt-A-Friend program are in foster care and can be met by appointment. Dogs
available through CCHS's Referral Program have specifics for adoption, as noted in
their individual biographies.
The adoption
process: If you are interested in adopting any of the animals
listed below, please download and complete an adoption application for the dog or puppy of
choice. Once completed, please email, fax, or mail the application to our
office. Once received and approved, we will be able to set up a time for you &
your family to meet the dog or puppy of interest.
Adoption Application**
**If you
are prompted with an "Enter Network Password" box, please press
"Cancel" to complete the document download. You may also email us for
a copy of the Adoption Application.
Adoption
Fees: The adoption fee for Adopt-A-Friend dogs over the age of 6
months is $150.00, and puppies under the age of 6 months have an adoption fee of $200.00.
All of the dogs available through our Adopt-a-Friend program are spayed or
neutered, microchipped, de-wormed and given age-appropriate vaccinations for their new
home. Oftentimes, further medical care has been given, such as flea treatment,
heartworm treatment, deworming, stool samples, or specific surgeries. On average,
CCHS invests over $300.00 per animal, which includes their food, treats, toys and medical
treatment. Your minimal adoption fee helps to offset some of these costs and
ensures funding for other dogs in need of care through our program.
Adopt-A-Friend Animals
We have more foster dogs in loving
foster homes that will be coming available for adoption soon. Stay tuned!
Adoption Pending Daisy Cute...check! Happy...check!
Wiggly...check! Playful...check! Looking at little Daisy's checklist, this
little princess gets nothing short of gold stars when it comes to lovability. This
adorable little fawn Chihuahua / Rat Terrier mix absolutely loves everyone and everything
she meets - she's never met a person, child, cat, dog, toy or stick that she didn't
readily become enamored with, and in everything in life, the glass is definitely half-full
in Daisy's eyes.Born
in mid-August, this tiny little puppy will
obviously be a very small adult (for some odd reason, the pictures make her look bigger
than she is... you'll be surprised when you meet her in person!) Currently she
weighs just over 6lbs. Daisy was born with a few congenital issues with her left eye
- namely, she has no or very limited vision in her left eye. Granted, you can
try to tell her that and all she'll do is wag her tail at you and lick your face - don't
say we didn't warn you! Daisy would thrive in a Chihuahua or small-dog familiar
home. She's really good
at using an indoor potty pad or going outside, but as with any puppy, mistakes every now
& again must be expected, especially in the beginning and it's important that any home
be understanding of the potty-training commitment. Daisy's a smart cookie, but
consistency is key! We want nothing short than to see her succeed in life. If
she has a buddy small-dog, even better, as she's a social little butterfly who loves to
play with others.
Daisy is spayed and microchipped,
and is current on vaccines. Once you meet her, you'll be a smitten kitten, just as
we were, with her super-sweet disposition and lovable personality. And once she
falls asleep in the crook of your elbow, you'll never want to part with her! If you
would like to apply to adopt her, please fill out an application (above). Thank you! |
Adoption
Pending Buttercup Little miss Buttercup is so adorable to look at that it's easy to
forgive this delicate little flower's initial shyness with new people. She is
sooooo sweet and loving in a very short amount of time, but she needs a home where someone will be understanding of the fact
that people haven't always been so nice to her in her short little life. She looks
for comfort in the arms of those she knows, but is very inquisitive and wants to branch
out and stretch her comfort boundaries. By the second or third time she meets you,
she's covering your face in kisses and crawling up into your lap! You truly cannot
help but just want to protect this sweet little girl - and she will give you so much love
in return! Buttercup is perhaps some type of Pharoah Hound / Pitbull mix...?
Her tall, beautiful ears set her aside, and she has an absolutely stunning, sweet
face. She is estimated to have been born at the end of May or early June, and is a
fairly small size. As an adult, she will likely not weigh more than 30lbs. She is
very well-mannered and docile and is a gem with her potty training. Buttercup
is spayed and microchipped, and is current on her puppy vaccines. She is very lovey
and loves to cover your face in kisses once she realizes you're not going to hurt
her. We would recommend Buttercup to an adult-only household. She is good with
other dogs, and in fact, very tolerant of them! Her other foster buddy, Oreo, and
her are very close and she allows him to pull her all around by her leash without so much
as protest. She would greatly benefit from a permanent home that is familiar with
dealing with shy dogs and providing them the appropriate means of socialization and
training so that the world doesn't seem like such a scary place.
If you feel that you have a warm
heart to offer a once-neglected puppy, please consider meeting this sweet little girl.
We guarantee you'll fall in love with her! To apply to adopt Buttercup,
please complete an adoption application (above). Thank you! |
