Emergency Medical Fund

Contra Costa Humane Society is fortunate to operate one of the only programs within the county that offers financial assistance to low-income residents whose altered animals are in need of emergency medical care. If you are receiving government assistance or qualify as low-income based on current HUD standards, and if your companion dog or cat is facing a true medical emergency, CCHS may be able to help. Please note that financial assistance must be pre-authorized by CCHS to be used at a select number of veterinary offices in Contra Costa County. For further information, please call our office at (925) 279-2247.

Funding for CCHS's Emergency Medical Fund (EMF) is provided through generous donations from the community; CCHS does not receive any county or government funding. If you would like to help someone in Contra Costa County whose animal is in need of emergency care, please consider making a donation to the EMF program.

Thank you for your generosity.
